CAOGA Benevolent Fund

The CAOGA Benevolent Fund is for Serving Officers who find themselves in financial distress through no fault of their own. Applications are processed through the CAOGA Brigade Representatives and handled in strictest confidence. Applications can also be made directly to the Secretary of CAOGA.

Subscription €2.00 per month. Assistance is by way of a grant.

What constitutes distress?

• An event that could not be anticipated.
• Extreme hardship caused by circumstances which would lead to a harmful effect on the standard of living of the officer and his dependents.

Examples

• Cost of illness beyond that covered by health insurance.
• Funeral expenses of a dependent child or relative which would not be met by the normal CAOGA benefit.
